I am Zana from the Summer Learning Journey team. It is awesome to see you blogging from Panmure Bridge School and sharing your learning about mythical stories! Your poster for “The Great Octopus Battle” is very eye-catching and full of energy.

I really enjoyed looking at the poster you created for this Fijian myth. The way you chose a muscular shark, a glowing eel, and a bright purple octopus makes the battle look very intense! Using the yellow lightning bolts to separate the three animals is a clever design choice—it makes it look like a real “VS” battle screen from a video game.

In many Pacific legends, the octopus is often portrayed as a hero because it is incredibly smart. Real octopuses are known for being escape artists! They can squeeze through any hole that is big enough for their beak (the only hard part of their body). This would definitely give them an advantage in a mythical battle!

Who do you think has the best chance of winning this battle? Is it the strength of the shark, the speed of the eel, or the smarts of the octopus?

    Keep up the amazing blogging,

    Zana (SLJ Team)
